flathead screwdrivers can work as most people use this method... BUT, once u try using actual trim removal tools, u cant go back. it may look like not much of a difference, but seriously its a HUGE difference in the whole process of removing pieces. your chances of breaking a clip is almost none, unlike a screwdriver where you have to be careful of not snapping clips and chipping the trim itself. this not only makes taking things off easier, it makes it super easy to put back on too.
