all gas is the same. the shell company trucks pick up their gas at the same refinery as the chevron, texaco, and other 'mom and pop' gas stations. The difference is the quality of the tank that each gas station has (ie crud deposits, quality of filters, quality tank construction) and what "detergents" each company uses. Many gas stations use chemical detergent additives directly added to the store location tank which keeps the fuel in a deposit free state and easier to pass through the filters. But really....its all the same.
