Armrest Info
My car is a 2006 330i with the same problem. I would think the majority of the 3 series from these years share the same interior.

Part number 1 in the picture. The entire arm rest needs to be replaced. Since my interior is black considering just peeling the rest of it if not covered under warranty. Replace it later. I also attached the TSB.
