and when i say grinding sound, i mean i would love to give a better example because i know what grinding gears sounds like and its similar but its very noticeable outside the car (imagine nail on a chalk board, it just doesnt sound right at all coming from an engine) to that but it also sounds hollow like something is cracking and getting hit. it happens right when the car turns over and stuff in the engine starts moving. as if something was stuck and it broke loose when it was moved/forced
