Not explicity sure, but there is a value in the logging channels called "stored VIN" or something similar. This may or may not be ONLY accessable for the vin locked units, but worth a look. It's utterly retarded that some units are locked depending on when you bought it, and how much the vishnu president likes you given that some "good" customers were given unlocked firmwares. May be worthwhile just requesting it.
