The factory standard 335i/d brace is garbage and isn't even secured at the inboard end!
I fitted the BMW M3 alloy solid bolted 3-point strut brace and the main difference was a reduction in dashboard creaks over slow bumps (like speed bumps) as it stiffened up the front body.
No real road difference, maybe holds a better line through fast compression corners, i.e. dips etc or braking though corners, certainly no effect on roll control as that is springs / ARBs job.
