E90 Valentine 1 hardwire install
Okay to answer the original poster's question...I used the green wire with white stripe from the rear view mirror wire bundle. It is a switched power source. My only issue came in finding a ground up in the overhead console. I used one of the two bolts that holds a sub structure to the frame, but had to sand off some type of coating off of the bolt before it would make a good clean connection to the ground wire. Also it's a real pain to get to either of those 2 bolts. Sorry didn't take any pics.
