Sorry for your experience... but retard I am not!
German cars are great even thought most have some maintenance problems (which can be expensive). My method to keep cost down is do as much maintenance as possible myself, change oil early, and hope for the best! Good luck with your next car, but I wouldn't expect an Audi to be extremely reliable...
