Since I only had DVD-R discs I burnt to one (using ImgBurn) and as an experiment tried it in the DVD drive - it partially seemed to work in that the system accepted the disc (there was no "Please insert the Navigation Disc" message), however trying to go to a previous entered destination or viewing the map did not work - so I suspect the drive is DVD+R as suggested?
