It should be noted that WinKFP will update the VIN only if the firmware is also updated. If the firmware is already the latest, WinKFP will go through all the motions, but in the end, no update will have been performed and the VIN will still be the old VIN. In this case, probably your only option is Tool32, but be forewarned, it is not very intuitive. I wish I'd wrote it down or took screen shots as I can't remember the steps.
