BMW's high pressure fuel pump recall is a cover up. They are not replacing the fuel pumps for the majority of recalled cars, but rather applying a software “patch” in hopes of delaying the issue. BMW was already doing what is outlined in the recall prior to the ABC investigation. The recall is nothing more than semantics meant to appease the media. Please read this thread of angry BMW owners whose cars were part of the recall.
