No fender flaring is allowed.
I ended up going with an N52 motor out of a Z4. It is basically a 330i now.
I know I will have to deal with the electronics, but at least it is the "right motor" in the car. We'll see if I will end up regreting this decision.
So much still to do... car is getting painted next...
