Well for a while I thought my original OEM bulbs where on the way out and finally tonight had confirmation.
Just after xmas I started to think my oem bulbs where starting to fail/fade after nearly 4 years with the light output drastically reduced. Even bought a cheap £20 pair incase one popped completly.
This became clear when I compared them just on drive way against wifes new B-class that has xenons.
So after research and budget work outs I opted for set of OSRAM Xenarc Cool Blue Intense D1S

Rated up to 5500K where rating in between the top spec XENARC SILVERSTAR and the Original so good choice nad resonable price.
Finally got to drive in proper darkness today and wow what a difference. The OEM bulbs where Philips Branded ones and they did a good job but after 4 years they where past their best. Thinking back however these OSRAM bulbs have far better throw and volume than the stock did as on my usual roads I coudl see far further then before. Overall very good choice, highly recommend them for anyone looking for good set
