I just installed a factory BMW alarm system. Actaully my 13 yr old son did as he keeps taking the tools out of my hands.
Anyway when I called BMW of Bayside to ask them to recode for the alarm he quoted that it would take 2-3 hours at $145. I almost dropped knowing that he's trying to rip me off. I have read in this forum that it should take 15min~30min time. I told him that and he said absolutly not, it takes much longer. I told him thanks but no thanks.
Anyone recommend another BMW in the NYC area that is honest.
As a side note, I am taking my car up to another site members place up in the Bronx NY who I will have recode some other options for me. I heard he is great and comes highly referenced. I am wondering if he could recode the alarm also. I hate to keep asking him questions. But would rather deal with him.
