What puzzles me is that I was under the impression the 3-series comes out of South Africa. Do the current 320d's really originate from Germany, shipped via Zeebrugge??

Last month I was told by the dealer that all 3 series sedans come from South Africa. Another dealer told me that you can get a German made one if you order some of "Individual" options such as paint and interior trims. Apparently the car moves from one factory to a second one to be finished and it adds a month to the order.
