RE: range to the front - if you leave the antenna in the trunk, it'll probably work fine. But it IS highly directional and the coverage pattern is optimized to be in the cabin where it normally goes.

lol I figure a wifi antenna would work wasn't sure tho.. Wish I would have thought about that before I dropped 35.00 on this one.
The one I have is the same one on page 1.. Looks to be female
