I'm happy for now but in the future I'd consider a mild tune up to about 300hp and 480 lb-ft. Any more is too much of a hassle.

It's not a problem. Just keep the boost lower at the lower rpm's so you don't exceed 500 lb-ft. Then max out the boost as the rpm's rise. The diesel torque falls off so fast that there will never be a worry of having too much torque higher in the rpm range.
