You're all very kind... Don't be stupid. If its too good to be true, it usually is.
Clean title retail: $20-25k
Salvage retail: usually 30-35% less
Just because your mechanic says it runs fine doesn't mean the car has suspension or frame issues which were never properly repaired. There are a lot of shady body shops out there.
