Test drove an F30 328i and was not impressed with how it sounded when it was first started. It reminded me of my old M30 in my E28. It went away when it warmed up but it was still annoying. The mandatory iDrive was a major turnoff because of a)how it was incorporated into the dash and b)it's now 2013 and it's not a touch screen. The steering was not as good as my E90 but I did enjoy driving it around town and on the highway at cruising speeds. The exterior styling is different, the front end looks ok but it's not spectacular. The new headlights and grill look weird but they are growing on me.
Bottom line: I prefer the styling and N/A I6 over the new F30 styling and N20. Personal preference.
