I bought a set of Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip tires 205/50/17 to put under my BMW E91.
I thought I could put them on my Style 158 (8Jx17) wheels but found out it is not advised to put 205 tires on a 8J wheel.

So I found some 7.5J wheels Style 116 but they have a ET of 20.

So calculated by this site:
20mm MORE clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 8mm

Will this give any problems, I know at the back there is more than enough space, but also in the front? Will there be any disadvantages of this setup.

Other option is a new set of wheels in 7.5Jx17 with ET of 35:
5mm MORE clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will RETRACT 7mm

But these are more expensive for me.

Unfortunately the most topics with ET20 where about getting 8.5J et 20 under the car so I thought let's start a new topic for this.
