Thanks for the DIY as I used this method and everything worked well... But, after having this running for the last week or so I went to open my sunroof for the first time and as soon as I presssed the button the radar detector start turning off and on the entire time while opening. When it was fully open and the sunroof motor stopped, so did the radar detector. It didn't seem to have anymore power. I closed the sunroof and poof! the detector worked again... Any ideas on why it will not work when I open the sunroof? I tapped power from the mirror 12v source like referenced on the first page and I used a ground under the dome lighting. It was a hex head bolt if memory serves me correctly. Any ideas on what to do? I appreciate any help, thanks guys... The only thing I could think was to try a different ground possibly but I figured I would ask here first before tearing it all apart.
