Are you trying to fit an E9x M3 rear muffler on a non-M? Best bet would be to modify the spare wheel well unit. I'm sure it'll sounds pretty good.

Doesn't look good for pre-lci's. The mustache/kidneys kill it. Also, the pre-lci Mtech is still my favorite.
