I mate of mine has had a few 5 series M Sport's in his time and the first couple he got back ache. Then he found out that "comfort seats" can be ordered in the 5 series so he went for them when he bought his next 5 series. That that cured his back problem.
Sadly comfort seats are not an option on the 3 series.
