It looks like the article pulled the data from Consumer Reports. In the reliability charts CR groups the used 3-series into different categories; one for the lower and one for the higher engine from 2002-2011, so 325/328 and 330/335. The reliability issues they mention only pertain to the 335i since the article lists 2007-2010, but they apparently labeled the issue with the 330i because the chart covers that model too. If they did a little more research they would have just labeled it the 335i.
