Such stupid speculation in this thread. Shit happens. Highly doubt the thieves knew you. They simply knew that airbags, headlights, side mirrors can all be sold easily for good money. And I doubt this was their first BMW. As for noise, the only thing that would have been noisy would be breaking in. And they probably only made noise while punching a small hole in the sheet metal and then used tin snips or a small pry bar to peel it open.
