Should warranty cover "creaks" and "squeaks"?
Whenever I turn right into a driveway, I hear a fairly loud creak coming from a dashboard joint, or where it connects to the pillar, or possibly the rearview mirror.
I have an '08 328i with 16,000 miles on it and figured it was just regular wear and tear since I am used to driving cars that squeak hear and there.
But I got a loaner that was an '09 with 9000 miles and I took some sharp turns onto inclines like driveways and the like and never heard anything. It just felt much tighter.
It might be because I have a tighter suspension (sport pkg) but it doesn't seem like a BMW that new should squeak and creak.
If I take it to the dealer, am I in the right to ask that they do whatever they need to do to get the creaking sound out and make my car sound like a tight, German premium sports car instead of an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme.
I bought it used, but that shouldn't matter for warranty purposes.
