Here's my $.02
Long Island has some great destinations, unfortunately, 'in season' the hassle getting there spoils the fun. Besides, who gets excited driving the LIE? Off season, running out to the wineries, Mattituck, Horton's Point can be a blast.
There are some nice roads though, off the beaten path, that do offer nice tours of the North Shore.
I've noticed that most of the runs you do are off LI. How do those play out?
Another consideration, I would think it would be best to keep the size of the run to a number that wouldn't attract any unwanted attention. I have no idea what that # would be.
It's great to start a dialogue and see where it goes. I'm in after 4/27!
