Audi will be introducing the Audi A1 e-tron concept at the Geneva Motor Show. The car has an all-electric range of 50 kilometers (31 miles), and is meant for use in large, urban environments.
The concept will use a 75-kiloWatt battery-powered motor, coupled with a range-extending rotary engine to help recharge the battery. The single-rotor engine can allow the car to be driven an additional 200 km (124 mi). Audi estimates fuel consumption to average
1.9 liters per 100 km (123.8 mpg-US / 148.7 mpg-imp). Emissions could be as low as 45 grams per kilometer.
The Audi A1 e-tron concept will debut alongside the Audi A1 tomorrow in Geneva.
