Check out the detailing section of this thread, there's some good information there. I have had my car for two and a half years now and there's not one single swirl mark. Never, go through automatic car washes that aren't brushless! The easiest way to avoid them is simple. Don't let anyone else wash your car. Especially at the dealer. I worked at a dealer and the majority of the people who are going to wash it don't give two shits. I have been through one or two laser ones only to get salt off of my undercarriage. Order some microfibers and chemical guys wash and you'll be good to go. Not to mention either using a grit guard and/or the two bucket method.
