Update:
Finally got an email back from the seller. He says that he did not notice any problem with the tires when they were removed. He claims they were on the car for 1 week (about 50 miles). He is refusing to issue a refund of any kind as he was selling these tires as used for 50 miles not new off the shelf (his auction page makes no mention of damage). I dont know about you guys, but the stock bridgestones look nothing like this after 15,000 miles of spirited driving.
My response was that I bought 4 tires, not 3.5. Seems sketchy to me. The sad part is this guy is a PhD who runs his own company down in Texas!!!
What do you guys think?

Is this BS or do you think its fair that I paid $1000 (new price of tires on TR is about $1280)? Remember these are the runflat versions.
