(DIY) One little piece needed to enable our USA rear fog lights

(DIY) enable our USA rear fog lights for E90 & E92

I took my light switch apart and discover that our switch has the ability for rear fogs, but there's one little piece needed/missing to activate it.

The switch is very easy to take apart.....just a few clips on the sides
(check other diy on how to take the light switch off)

To have rear fogs…this is the piece we’ll need.
Another words, we’ll have to duplicate this

Pic 3
cut/clip the (yellow) circled areas will enable the rear fog button

(Edit)
Pic # 3 & 4......the button has "4" clips not 3...its placed inside so I took out the button and cut off the 4 clips on the button

Now taking out the button can be tricky....I used two small flat-head screw drivers to unclip the inside in order to release the button

Main Board – To activate the fogs (front & rear), the two rubber nipples must be pressed (left/right).

Now.....how do we duplicate the "white piece"
I use a plastic exercise grip.....cut it to the shape of the white piece and just glue a flat surface on top.
You can also use a plastic pen cap, legos, golf tee, or whatever works for you

OEM white piece - duplicate piece
The duplicate piece is longer because the white piece has a built in stop where as the duplicate don't, so it needs to be longer in order to hit the rubber.

EDIT: some new models/LCI already have the 2nd white piece inside.
