When I tried the 2010 maps in my CCC there were roads in my area that had been there for 3 years and still were not on the 2010 map disks, so I am in no hurry to update to the 2010 maps at the current time.
Currently I'm more concerned with how to upgrade the CIC's firmware.

So long as you have the files, I'd imagine you could do it with winkfp "on the bench"?
