To the OP: I was wondering why you didn't go with a M3, until you mentioned you're from AU. It's totally clear now.
Great project! It's rare to see a car enthuaist who is willing to go through all this trouble to make something unique and fun to drive.
The other thing is, you already have a Turbo to play with. You don't need to spend another 15,000USD or more to get a Turbo into M3's NA Engine to go lot faster.
