Hi there. I was born in Brazil and transplanted at the tender age of 10. I've since gone back many times because my parents left Miami before the economy took a wet nasty dump. And if the interlagos you're talking about is the same one I'm thinking (Nelson Piquet territory), then it's not too far from where my parents live in Rio de Janeiro.
