No sales tax, just registration fees which are based on the value and age of the car (along with some other stuff thrown in there). The cost depends on where you are located, but for my 07 335i last year they were $290
You will also have to get emissions done if you are moving to the metro area, which is $25 I think.
Also, if you itemize your taxes, you can write off the ownership tax portion of the registration, so make sure and keep that in mind come April 15th.
