The 9500 is not as good (and doesn't try to be) at laser jamming as the LI - the diodes used in the LI are military-grade and hugely expensive.
The V1 goes off a lot.
The citations of Radar Roy are worth reading. The technology in the 9500ci and the GPS implementation would give it the nod in my mind.
I'm also really disappointed that the V1 looks like it was designed in 1980 and has vacuum tubes inside, but that wasn't your question
At least we don't seem to see Radarqueen around these conversations any more.
I really think a better comparo would be the 9500ix to the V1. I don't think that any portable is going to outshine a 9500ci.
