Not a good idea. Fitment issues, would not work well with stock dampers.
Get matched set of dampers & springs. BMW Performance are cheap and keeps warranty. AST 4100 w/ Swift springs are great and would be my choice.
If you get stiffer springs & dampers, the M3 bits (control arms/bushings) are even more important than if you stay OEM.
