Sounds like a great time, thanks for sharing. The D really is a spectacular machine, it's no coincidence it's been called "the best car on the road today" by some automotive journalists, who have spent their entire lives driving and comparing different cars.
On a side note, are you familiar with Insideline's "Reader's Rides" segment? I think this review/story would be perfect to submit, and would really help get the word out about this awesome car. And some more positive press in the US might just help convince BMW to send us more diesels.
