Car now fixed!
The issue was caused by excessive carbon buildup on the intake valves. This reduced the amount of air getting into the cylinder by more than 50% at WOT!!! Hence misfires, shuddering, hesitation, rough idle and poor fuel economy. the car now feels much stronger than ever before, I've yet to give it a proper beating due to the weather, but with meth flowing it is quite silly!
All diagnosis and work carried out by Jason at Birds! My wallet is still reeling, but at least it's fixed!!
