I got 35% all around for mine, had few compliments on it ($199 out the door lifetime wrnty).
I got it so its more comfortable to drive in the sun, and block UV, and keeps car cool on hot day; It "looks" nice too.
Do you guys know how i could get my local body shop to replace it with darker tints if possible?
Yes, it can be removed and re tinted.
also do you guys think this is a good idea in california?
you wont have any problems with law enforcement in CA with 50% in the front.

no, I had a car in SoCal for 3 years with 20% all around, never had a problem.
that being said... the LAW is that you CANNOT have any tint on the front window in CA. just a disclaimer.
