On the N54 we have seen lights come up on all catted pipes eventually. One issue was the BMW tightened o2 tolerances in their ECU code and the cats eventually don't function like new so they trip the light.
Would be great if this was the case, but its just hard to believe that a high flo catted pipe doesn't ever throw a light and offers the same gains as a catless version. Would be great it if it was the case though....
