I'm thinking the same thing, we need to leave same day & 2 a.m or earlier is good. The drive will be less than 9 hours (easy driving) and we might have 1 stop over to fill up gas. We have two choices of roads to take. First, almost all interstate highways which is longer by 100 kms. but faster. Or combination of state & interstate, shorter distance but longer. My experience, interstate cruising is easier.
By the way, before we leave everybody should have full tank and half way of our cruise which is roughly around 500 kms, we need to stop for lunch and gas fill up.
All the above are only my suggestions and still open for other ideas.
