Whichever you go for, you MUST run the pads in for quite a few miles before using them in anger - as it says in the instructions.

I can't remember if I had Red or Yellow stuff on the 530, but there was a LOT less dust than stock. I used EBC slotted discs too, but I wouldn't recommend them because they are too noisy for the road.

I'd "just" done the run-in period on my new pads, when I did engage is some spirited driving and heavy braking. This heated up the (obviously remaining) bed-in pad material to such an extent that it looked as if my pads were on fire, along with a lot of smoke. What does one do in such a situation? Drive quickly to blow out the "flames". Worked for me!
