I just got a panasonic (42") so cant comment on the 50+, however I'd recommend you go to a panasonic shop - deals are there to be had and the sales team are very knowlegeable (unlike the dicks in currys or comet) . Not only did they match the best competitor price and 5 year guarantee, I persuaded them to give me a free panasonic blue ray player (rrp £169) and a free stand (rrp £149)
