They dont limit power when cold. I have never thrashed my car from but bar once which i had to for an emergency, No limiting of power.
M cars have the illuminated dash to remind you not to thrash tyo high revs from cold.
Non M cars can be doughnutted off your driveway at 6am if needed be.
