335i Stock + JB4 = Airy?

So I recently put the JB4 Stage 1 on my 335i which is otherwise completely stock. I can say that when I really just hammer it that there seems to be a little more power/kick under WOT. However, I find that I'm missing that throw me to the back of my seat feeling that I had with the stock tune...or maybe I'm just looking for it now and it isn't there? Someone said that it could be my power curve smoothing out some from the tune, and thus I have a smoother climb in power as opposed to that wham! power on the stock map?

Regardless of that it sometimes feels, especially on surface streets, that when i get on the gas that it is a bit....airy? Almost like the power just isn't there? It is hard to describe the feeling. This is when I'm under about half-open throttle, or if I'm slowly building up speed as opposed to just pushing the pedal to the floor.

I do have the Stage 2 in the mail, so maybe that will fix it? If not, maybe I can take a data log and see if there is an issue?
