According to some emails that I have shared with Bavarian Technics, they are telling me that the scanner is not supported with the 2011 or the N55 motor. Are you saying that even though it is not supported it does still work?

We officially support up to 2009 models only. The N55 is not yet supported, though support is coming when resources allow.

Thank you for contacting Bavarian Technic and for your kind words. The 2011 models are not yet officially supported. We have not tested the tool on those cars and likely lack the necessary details to support the new models appropriately. We intend to support those cars in the future, but there is no specific time frame for offering that coverage.
