Not sure if this is the question you're asking, but use a different pad for a different polish. Normally, you do this anyway, since the more aggressive polishes usually will be on a more aggressive pad -- e.g., not set in stone, but I typically use SIP with orange, 106FF with white, 85RD with blue or black.
Also, if you're polishing a lot of panels, you'll need more than one pad because the polish will get dried out or caked into a pad after a few panels. Put it aside, switch to a new one, and you're good. Wash them all in soapy water when you're done, rinse them well, spin out excess water, then they'll be clean for the next time.
