I just bought a couple mounting devices - one for my iPhone for $10, and another more expensive mounting device for my digital camera. Both of these was much more cost effective than buying another Go Pro.
Will keep the Go Pro mounted on the outside of the car with the iPhone and digital camera on the inside.

Ordered a interior mount for my iPhone last week. It's a great way to get another view from inside the car.
I'll bring a lightning cable to transfer footage for anyone with an iPhone 5. Don't forget your cables if you are going to transfer from a device that doesn't have a removable memory card.
