A well designed N52/53 SC will be more reliable than the 335. If not, then the design is a failure. You're probably right that down the line, the 335 will be similar to a comparable 328 in price though because few people want to deal with used, out of warranty turbos, especially those from the N54/55.
I'm waiting for AMRA to turn a year old with at least 15K KM before I take it seriously, even if it drops into the $6K range.
